  1. Wi-Fi Login Scam

Did it ever happen to you that while you wanted to access the Internet there were no Wi-Fi networks available? Plenty of times, right? Be aware of the Wi-Fi Login Scam!

  1. Speeding Ticket Scam

Be careful about this new speeding ticket scam that shows your actual car, real time and location, but speeding! Really dangerous.

  1. Passport Renewal Scam

There will be a time when you will have to renew your passport – what will you do first? Beware of these new tricky ways to get your money!

  1. Airport Package Scam

Let’s say that yesterday you just traveled through London. What if you get an email from the Heathrow Airport saying there is a package with your name on it left behind?

Here are five scams that I want to let you know about this week so you can protect yourself from financial fraud. If you own a car you should pay extra attention to the first two scams below:

1. Oil Change Scam

Not everyone is mechanically inclined, so next time you are up for an oil change make sure you don’t fall for the extra charges. Watch the video in this article for a shocking car mechanic scam exposed.

2. Sticker For Traffic Ticket Scam

Wouldn’t it be nice to have a license plate sticker from the Government that allows you to void your next traffic fine? Watch out for this new scam!

3. Frequent Flyer Rewards Scam

Who wouldn’t like more points and rewards from loyalty programs such as Delta SkyMiles, Air Miles, Aeroplan, American AAdvantage, British Airways oneworld or Qantas? Beware of this new Frequent Flyer Points Scam.

4. Help Sheriff’s Office Scam

We all want to be good citizens and contribute to the well-being of our neighborhood, but don’t fall for the call from your local Sheriff’s office scam.

5. Lower Interest Rate Scam

This scam comes back every few months, which is a sign that is very effective for criminals. Don’t be one of the victims, educate yourself here.
